Dr. Brenda Unrein
Dr. Brenda Unrein grew up in Colorado. She attended Colorado State University for both undergraduate and veterinary school. Dr. Unrein received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Unrein did an internship at Weems & Stephens Equine Hospital in Aubrey, Texas. Upon completion of her internship, she stayed in Texas and continued practicing on horses. While in Texas she experienced many different facets of equine disciplines, from racing, cutting, halter, endurance and ranch performance, to list a few. In 2009, she joined Laramie Peak Veterinary Associates in Wheatland, WY. She has dedicated the majority of her practice to equine lameness, soft tissue surgery, equine reproduction work, and dentistry. Dr. Unrein also has a significant interest in competitive ranch horses and rodeo horses. In 2011 Dr. Unrein expanded her interests to complimentary medicine and completed her certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture at Colorado State University. Dr. Unrein’s two children, Peyton and Hayden keep her very busy with sports and horse events. She also enjoys riding and roping with her husband Daryl.
